GdS: Exit complicated for Milan man Castillejo as hefty wage demands emerge

By Isak Möller -

Just a few days ago, Samu Castillejo appeared to be on the verge of leaving Milan, with several teams interested in his services. However, the situation has suddenly become very complicated for all parties.

The winger has played just 122 minutes for the Rossoneri this season and with that in mind, a transfer certainly makes sense for his career. On the other hand, he has a high salary at Milan (€2.5m per year), which is complicating things.

As per the latest reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the situation has indeed turned complicated as neither of the clubs interested have been able to agree on his salary. Valencia and Sampdoria are two of the clubs in the race.

It remains to be seen if Castillejo will leave Milan this window or if he will wait until the summer. After that, it’s very tough to picture him with the red and black shirt, even though his contract expires in the summer of 2023.

  1. Surely there is some clause in contract that he should be fit to play

Otherwise its absurd, everybody has to work and he should receive millions for absolutely nothing?

Stop playing nicely, threaten him like barca did with dembele

Paying court fees should be cheaper than playing this greedy deadweight
