GdS: Ibrahimovic responds well despite penalty miss – his presence is key for Milan

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic failed to get on the scoresheet as Milan faced Bologna away from home yesterday, even though the Rossoneri were awarded two penalties. On the other hand, he was important for the team.

After the sending off vs. Inter, as Gazzetta Dello Sport notes (via MilanNews), the Swede responded well despite the penalty miss. He played with and for the team, fighting for every ball and keeping Milan high up in the final (nervy) minutes.

Ibrahimovic created chances, was involved in almost every situation and also gave a big hand in the defensive phase, especially on the free-kicks and corner kicks. No poor attitude, in other words, just work and a lot of sacrifice.

For once, per the newspaper, Ibrahimovic wasn’t a god but a man of goodwill. Equally useful to the cause, of course. He was and remains a key for this team, the undisputed leader of the locker room. And Milan are on his side.
