GdS: Ibrahimovic wants to be back for second leg vs. Man Utd – the latest

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is currently recovering from an injury he sustained in the away game against Roma. This forced him to miss the first leg against his former side, Man Utd, but he could be back for the reverse fixture.

The 39-year-old has missed almost half of the games this season due to injuries, having played just 21 of the 40. Despite this, he has bagged 16 goals and it’s clear that he’s still world-class his body allows him.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Ibrahimovic is aiming to be back for the second leg against Man Utd on Thursday. Of course, in such a big game it would be a boost to have the striker on the pitch. However, his return is far from obvious.

He worked separately from the squad in yesterday’s training and he still needs at least a few more days before we can think about it. When Ibrahimovic puts his mind to something, though, he usually gets what he wants.

I kind of wish he isn’t
he’ll just monopolize the ball and miss a lot
that being said, he’s still got tricks that he can pull every now and then
However, I wouldn’t want to take the risk and rely betting on his mana points pool and his magic skill that day

Just start replacements for Diaz and possibly Krunic (only if Rebic is available) and Saelemaekers…but wait…we have no viable alternative option for that and keep the rest

At the moment, he is still a better option than Leao who offers nothing tangible as our striker.
I’m really worried about Hauge and Maldini. They really should get more play time. Hague seems a good character for a striker. Strong, fast, and he can dribble. His decision making and shot accuracy should be worked on.

    1. Joe101 says:

agreed, but unlike Ibra, Leao is not hoarding the ball at all times
also agreed on Hauge having to get more play time – what is happening to him is just NOT RIGHT

Leao loš kao centralni napadač !! to se več vidjelo puno puta !! Ibra na toj poziciji je jedini i najbolji u Milanu : zato pod Hitno dovest Ikardija ili Bellotija
