Schira: Milan down to ‘last details’ for Calhanoglu’s renewal amid Man Utd interest

By Isak Möller -

Milan are working hard to lock down their important players ahead of what will be an interesting summer mercato. Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu are both expiring, but the latter is closing in on a renewal.

The No.10 has been out with an injury recently and has only just returned to training with the squad. Therefore, he should be available for the game against Napoli, but the Milan management have other stuff to worry about with regards to him.

According to Nico Schira, the negotiations are proceeding and the Rossoneri’s last offer was €4m plus bonuses until 2025. The parties are down to the last details and Calhanogly’s priority remains to stay at the club.

There is interest from Premier League, as the reporter adds, but the will of the player and the club is clear. In an exclusive interview with us, Bild journalist Christian Falk said there’s a ‘90%’ chance Calhanoglu joins Man Utd.

However, that was back in November and it seems Milan are once again in control of the situation.
