GdS: Leao returns but playmaker’s presence remains uncertain for Spurs clash

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan will take on Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday and after losing to Fiorentina, they will be looking to bounce back. Rafael Leao will be back from his suspension and there might be one more return.

Leao served a suspension last night and his absence was heavily felt, as Milan struggled to create chances in the attacking phase. Fortunately, he will be back for the second leg against Tottenham on Wednesday and there might be an additional return.

Brahim Diaz was ruled out of yesterday’s clash due to a knee sprain and no recovery times have been reported by the club. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Spaniard will do everything in his power to return but the situation is uncertain.

The Real Madrid loanee scored the only goal in the first leg and he has five goals in 20 European games for Milan. Stefano Pioli is hoping that Diaz will be back, as he has the ability to break the lines even in difficult situations.

  1. If he does not recover in time, would love to see Adli or Krunic/Rebic play instead of CDK. Both offer different systems as Adli is creative but Krunic/Rebic are physically stronger. Would not play CDK as he is in a bit of psychological slump
