Milan will be playing in three competitions next season: Serie A, Coppa Italia and in the early stages of the Europa league, where they will hope to go as long as possible.
The Rossoneri will be looking to have as much depth to their bench as possible if they want to be successful next season in all competitions.
Added depth to the midfield would also be pivotal in dealing with injuries and fatigue from playing so frequently and key in advancing to later stages in those competitions and finishing higher up in the table.
At only 19 years old, Manuel Locatelli has played in over 25 matches this season for Vincenzo Montella’s side and has stated he has immense ambitions for his future with the club and wants to bring Milan back into serious competition.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Locatelli is likely to remain at Milan next season for the aforementioned reasons, avoiding a loan spell away from the club this summer.
