GdS: Man Utd, PSG cool Donnarumma interest as Milan stand firm

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have both put their pursuit of Gianluigi Donnarumma on hold, a report claims.

Reports earlier in the summer had suggested that the Rossoneri could look to offload the talented young goalkeeper in order to make a quick capital gain and assist their Financial Fair Play situation.

It was even claimed by Sky Sport that PSG were ready to launch an offer for the Italy international, with a swap deal even rejected by Paolo Maldini and co.

Now, Donnarumma looks destined to stay at San Siro and form part of Marco Giampaolo’s new-look Milan side.

Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) suggest that the two clubs who were most interested, PSG and Manchester United, have put their pursuit of the keeper on hold.

Milan – due to their exclusion from the UEFA Europa League – no longer need to sell their best assets in order to stay afloat.
