The search for a centre-back continues for AC Milan as the January transfer window is on the verge of opening. It appears that the Rossoneri have narrowed it down to three candidates.
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), Sven Botman remains the first choice for Milan. At 21, he fits the project perfectly and the Rossoneri also have good relations with Lille who, however, are asking for €30m.
Due to the high price tag, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are also evaluating a few other players for the defence. In particular, they are keeping tabs on Fenerbahce’s Attila Szalai (€11m price tag) and PSG’s Abdou Diallo (€22m price tag).
It remains to be seen which centre-back will arrive in Milan next month and it will certainly be interesting to follow the situation. Given Simon Kjaer’s injury, a signing is indeed a must for the Rossoneri.
