GdS: Milan deciding on the future of several loanees – latest on Colombo, Pobega, Plizzari and more

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must resolve the future of several loan players who will soon be returning from their experiences around Italy.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Alessandro Plizzari – whose experience at Reggina has just ended – will be the third goalkeeper behind Maignan and Tatarusanu. Pioli will evaluate the midfielder Tommaso Pobega, who was impressive at Spezia, while Lorenzo Colombo will come back from Cremonese and could remain in the group as the third choice striker behind Ibrahimovic and Giroud.

Leo Duarte’s loan with Istanbul Basaksehir will continue until January and Milan expects to get around €5m from his sale. As for Diego Laxalt, he could end up at Besiktas or in Moscow with Dinamo after his loan at Celtic.

Atalanta will not redeem Mattia Caldara so talks with Milan are underway to discuss a possible different destination, with Genoa and Bologna mentioned. Andrea Conti will also return from Parma who have not used their €7m option, but he is destined for a prompt exit with Fiorentina keen.

The midfielder Marco Brescianini, returning from Entella, could be used in the Tonali operation to lower the fee. Primavera players Bellodi (Alessandria), Murati (Vibonese), Sala (Pro Sesto), Tsadjout (Cittadella) and Capanni (Racing Santander) will all return.

  1. 40 years old Ibrahimovic, 35 years old Giroud and 1 goal/season Colombo. I can’t think of a worse attack, to be honest.
