You could argue that Il Presidente, as he’s called, is the Rossoneri’s most important player and thus it will be necessary to renew the current contract. It will expire in 2022 and they certainly don’t want to lose him for free.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan have decided to up their previous offer to Kessie. Contacts with his entourage took place yesterday and the Rossoneri want to close the matter quickly.
Therefore, they are willing to meet the demands of the player as they simply can’t afford to lose another star. In the coming days, there should be more updates on the matter, given that Milan are seemingly working very fast.
