GdS: Pioli receives big triple injury boost in view of trip to Empoli

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s treatment room has been filling up recently after another batch of injuries, but Stefano Pioli has received good news regarding three players.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the positive news is regarding a trio that will be absolutely vital in the upcoming games against Empoli, Chelsea (x2) and Juventus in Sandro Tonali, Davide Calabria and Ante Rebic.

All three are almost ready to be called up for the league match against Empoli that comes next weekend. Tonali returned to Milanello from the national team as a precaution, while an injury was excluded for Calabria after he came off at half-time against Napoli.

Perhaps the biggest news though is that Rebic is ready after being out for a long time with severe back pain that was being caused by a small hernia, and he will be able to alleviate some of the pressure on Leao and Giroud who have been working overtime.
