Warren Bondo pred XI lecce

GdS: Predicted Milan XI to face Lecce – Seven changes as Bondo gets debut

AC Milan will be up against Lecce tomorrow evening and after three consecutive defeats, Sergio Conceicao is expected to make some radical changes to the starting XI. The likes of Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao, for example, should be benched.

The situation in the Serie A standings is dire, to say the least, for Milan and a win is thus needed to avoid a total disaster (if we aren’t there already) tomorrow evening. With the stars of the team failing to provide reassurances, Conceicao could field an unprecedented XI as per Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below).

Starting between the sticks, Mike Maignan is suspended for his outburst against the referee after Milan-Lazio and Marco Sportiello will thus get the chance. The veteran should have no issues guarding the goal, even if not playing for a while makes a difference especially for goalkeepers.

In defence, Davide Bartesaghi is expected to replace Theo Hernandez as the latter has failed to impress big time, while the youngster has shown good intentions. Further up the pitch, Warren Bondo will get his debut after joining from Monza on deadline day.

Alex Jimenez has struggled at right-back and will thus play on the right flank of the attack instead, with Christian Pulisic moving to the centre. Riccardo Sottil and Tammy Abraham should complete the attack, with a total of seven changes.

Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Sportiello; Walker, Gabbia, Thiaw, Bartesaghi; Bondo, Reijnders; Jimenez, Pulisic, Sottil; Abraham.

  1. This is good actually in my opinion -except Jimenez on the right, it should be Chuckuweze
He always puts an effort and also scored in the last game, he deserved to play.

I don’t know Bondo but we need someone who can defend and Fofana is shi** in everything tbh.

      1. I still think CDM Bondo with Reijnders and Fofana as 8s in 4-3-3 is best option…

If the lack of concentration and focus is the problem, we have to start with the basics… 4-3-3 is as basic as you can get

Bartesaghi is a good choice while I don’t really see Jimenez as RW, RM- sure but not RW

push Joao Felix to LW, have Puli in his best roles – RW and benching Gimenez also doesn’t make much sense, in 5 games he had 3 goals… he needs consistency

        1. i can get on board with this. Tiji does well on a 4-3-3, Puli’s best time has come on the right wing and we know Rafa is good on the wing. Sure a 4-3-3 does not fit Felix (or the coach’s preferred 4-4-2) but at this point he has to try.

          1. his 4-4-2 used LM and RM, which are more midfielders than attackers, they track back… Leao is just not built for that, nor particularly Pulisic (although his professionalism is to be respected by all, terrific player)… you basically need 4 Saelemakers

for our team it would be too much effort. change Jimenez development from defender to midfielder, Musah RM transformation is plausible but I still think he has no future as an attacker, bring Alexis back (only possible at the end of the season), Pulisic is fine, but you lose Leao and Chukwueze (who most likely gonna be sold anyway, but he does track back and do his defensive duties)… again, too much work and too many ifs

Also his midfield had CDMs not Tiji and Fofana type players. you need destroyers not 8s in that system… hence the current troubles. even if you fixed the RM/LM roles and maybe pushed Leao into SS role with Gimenez, our midfield profile is completely different

Joao can go f himself… club is more important that one player we don’t even own…

  2. I’ll believe this line-up when I see it walk onto the field.

If he will play much the same line-up (with only minor tweaks) game after game. Playing every 3 days.
Why would he suddenly make huge rotation to the starting line-up when he’s had 7 days to prepare?

Don’t get me wrong. I’d like to see these changes. I’d also play Chukwueze instead of Jimenez. He’s been really poor in the last 2 games.

I just don’t see Conceicao making this many changes based on everything we have seen so far

  3. This is a Serie B attack. I would play Puli on the left, Chuk on the right, Reijnders at AM. If Fofana is cooked then Musah next to Bondo. 35M euro man Gimenez has to start.

  4. Sudah seharusnya milan merotasi pemain-pemain bintang. Buat apa beli pemain baru, kalau yang dimainkan cuma Felix dan Gimenez. Jual pemain-pemain yg tidak ada prospek di squad milan

    1. It’s not that terrible. Leao, Theo and Tomori will bring in at least 120M between them. Buy Gnonto, and new LB, and Frendrup or Ricci and we’ll be fine. Puli on the left, Gnonto on the right, Reijnder at AMC, Frendrup/Ricci, Bondo, Fofana and Musah for the double pivot, new LB at LB, Bartesaghi takes Tomori’s rotational spot at CB, Gimenez still at ST and we’re fine.

  5. What can Bondo do?

We already know that neither Musah nor Fofana can control the midfield. So what what can Warren B do? Can he Regulate or is he a cheap knock off?
