GdS: Probable XIs for Atalanta vs. Milan – Leao set for a surprise start

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Atalanta tomorrow evening and will most likely have to win the game in order to secure Champions League qualification. It won’t be easy for Stefano Pioli’s men, but it’s not impossible to win either.

The manager has been studying the right XI this week and it seems he has reached a conclusion, ready to throw Rafael Leao into the action. The Portuguese youngster impresses against Cagliari and could do well tomorrow.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo), that is the only change Pioli will make and Brahim Diaz is the unlucky one. The Real Madrid loanee has done well lately but will most likely start on the bench tomorrow.

As for Atalanta, they will field a very strong XI and there are no signs of taking this game lightly. Hopefully, Pioli has found the right solutions this week so that he can avoid another 5-0 trashing at Gewiss Stadium.

Probable Atalanta XI (3-4-1-2): Gollini; Toloi, Romero, Djimsiti; Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler, Gosens; Malinovskyi; Zapata, Muriel.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Leao; Rebic.
