AC Milan will face Sampdoria away from home tomorrow evening and it will be their first game of the 2021/22 Serie A season. It will be important to start the campaign right and Stefano Pioli has the XI for it in mind.
The Rossoneri were solid during pre-season as they didn’t lose a single game and only conceded two goals. Their goalscoring, however, could have been better but the feeling is that this will pick up once they get going.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), Pioli has pretty much decided the starting XI that will take the field tomorrow. At the back, Simon Kjaer is ahead of captain Alessio Romagnoli, who played a lot during pre-season and did well.
Further up the pitch, Ismael Bennacer will be back from start and we can only hope that he will have fewer injuries this season. Rafael Leao has seemingly won the battle against Ante Rebic, while Olivier Giroud is a no-brainer up front.
Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

leao diaz and salemakers…the easiest night for sampdoria without any chances for milan. Poor milan for one more season
Milan seriously need a right winger.
Sampdoria looks very robust. Further, I would say Milan has a great defence. Unfortunately, I do not see who is going to create scoring chances. Hopefully, Diaz will do it. If I were Pioli, I would start with Florenzi and Calabria. The most likely score, unfortunately, it is a draw
