GdS: Red hot axis between Milan and Real Madrid – four players being discussed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to enter talks with Real Madrid over four of their players who do not seem to be part of the plans, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Milan first want to close the return of Brahim Diaz, then try to take some other cast-offs from Real Madrid to reinforce the attack and defence, namely Luka Jovic, Dani Ceballos and Alvaro Odriozola.

Only the very last details are missing for the return of Brahim Diaz, with the Spaniard all set to return on loan with an option to buy set at €20m and a buy-back in favour of Los Blancos. After Calhanoglu’s exit, Milan need another attacking midfielder and Dani Ceballos is liked by Stefano Pioli for his tactical flexibility.

Olivier Giroud is still the primary target to become the deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but he has to find a way to get Chelsea to let him leave for free, and therefore Jovic is an ‘absolutely concrete’ alternative target. The Serbian could finally join the Rossoneri on loan with option to buy. Finally, right-back Odriozola is the first alternative in the event that Milan are not able to bring Diogo Dalot back.
