GdS: Seven Milan players granted longer vacation – from Maignan to Giroud

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan’s pre-season will officially kick off at Milanello tomorrow and most of the Rossoneri players will be present. However, those that took part in international duty recently will not be there.

The first day of the pre-season, also known as the Raduno, is scheduled for tomorrow and there will be plenty of fans at Milanello to cheer the fans on. The squad list has been announced (read here) and there are some notable names missing.

As highlighted by Gazzetta Dello Sport, the players that were on international duty in June have been granted a bit more vacation. In fact, the likes of Mike Maignan, Malick Thiaw, Theo Hernandez, Charles De Ketelaere, Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao will return on July 19.

Milan will travel to the United States on July 21st, meaning those players will get just two sessions at Milanello before continuing the pre-season abroad. In the States, the Rossoneri will face Real Madrid, Juventus and Barcelona.
