AC Milan are expected to make some major changes to their squad this summer, and just not by hiring a new manager. In fact, according to a report, there are currently nine exit-bound players and that figure could still increase.
As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), many players already have their bags packed, while the next few months will be decisive for others. Milan are ready for a revolution in the summer, including parting ways with some big names.
The big name on the list of departures is, of course, Theo Hernandez. His contract will expire in 2026 and the renewal talks aren’t exactly progressing. As such, with no agreement in sight, Milan would prefer to sell him for a decent figure while they still can.
Another relatively big name is Fikayo Tomori, who would have left already in January/February if it had been up to the club. Juventus made an offer that the Rossoneri were willing to accept and Spurs also did the same, so there wasn’t exactly a lack of options.
On the more doubtful side, i.e. players that could stay or leave, the biggest names are Mike Maignan and Rafael Leao. The goalkeeper hasn’t been performing at his best and while the renewal is expected, Milan would be willing to evaluate offers.
The same goes for Leao, who has been linked with big clubs almost every summer. He used to be completely unsellable in the Rossoneri’s eyes but that is no longer the case, especially if a hefty offer arrives early in the summer.
Finally, there are also some certainties like Malick Thiaw and Strahinja Pavlovic, as well as the youngsters Alex Jimenez and Francesco Camarda. Tijjani Reijnders is also set for a contract renewal and will certainly not part ways with the club. Below is the full breakdown…
Milan players to leave
- Theo Hernandez
- Fikayo Tomori
- Emerson Royal
- Alessandro Florenzi
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek
- Samuel Chukwueze
- Joao Felix
- Tammy Abraham
- Luka Jovic
Milan players at risk
- Mike Maignan
- Kyle Walker
- Filippo Terracciano
- Riccardo Sottil
- Rafael Leao
Milan players to stay

- Malick Thiaw
- Matteo Gabbia
- Strahinja Pavlovic
- Alex Jimenez
- Youssouf Fofana
- Tijjani Reijnders

- Yunus Musah
- Christian Pulisic
- Santiago Gimenez
- Francesco Camarda

Omg who the f**k need mousah
Sell mousah, he was the reason why we had to play extra CL match
If Theo is to blamed then Mousha has to be blamed twice
Musah is American. It’s part if a marketing $$ strategy ahead of fifa WC 2026
That in itself i don’t mind but we need him as a rotation option not to rely on in big games. Which would mean a better midfielder brought in. All the media rumors are Ricci but I can see us missing out on him with no UCL footy
RLC leaving would be good to earn funds and free up a squad place.
Musah needs a loan spell or two at another club to improve his decision making. The guy doesn’t stop running. He just needs to learn to run with a purpose …
Also learn how to take a proper shot. I see the potential in him. But he needs to be less hasty and more composed I agree with the loan.
Loool
Gambia will stay !!!!!? U clowns of management!!!! One of the poorest defenders I have ever seen !!!!! He went to Villarreal and he didn’t touch a bal in a match because the manager of Villarreal couldn’t believe his mid table club brought this guy !!!!!! Poor with the ball, can’t ever recover the ball with committing fouls and yellow card, too slow with and without the ball, only pass the ball backwards, can’t mark a sticker to save his life, poor positioning!!!! Absolutely terrible defender !!! And guess what american clowns of management, he should stay and play in AC freaking Milan !!!!!!!!! Leao at risk ? You want to sell Leao, american clowns? Instead of building a team around the most talented player we ever had since we brought Alexander Pato? Sell Leao Milan and what what happens u f****** squareheads !!!!!!!!
Sell Leao and watch what happens !!!!!!!
Leoa needs to relaunch his career. He needs motivation. Unless he can show that I don’t mind him leaving. All good things eventually comes to an end.
Then you haven’t seen many defenders.
Endless revolutions, like a banana republic.
Tomori Chukwueze and Ruben Loftus are flops
Chukwueze is expensive one will be difficult maybe to sold. Ruben Loftus always injured, so very tough to be sold.
And Tomori rejected all proposals.
Agree with all leaving except Abraham who is a good bench player. He always works hard when subbed on and his goals per minutes isnt bad. Dont see any other better “backup” players out there that can do it better.
Gimenez, Abraham, Camarda would be a good center forward line.
Fofana. Reijnders, Bondo and Musah would be a sufficient double pivot line-up.
Defense need a good CB replacement for Tomori, another rightback if Walker doesnt stay (which I think he will) and a world class left back to replace Hernandez.
Then its the left wing and attacking midfielder/second attacker spot that needs to be filled by three players if Leao, R-L-C, and Joao Felix leaves.
Right wing will need a deputy for Pulisic too if Chucky goes.
Thats at least 4 big quality signings thats needed (LB, LW, SS/AM, RB) that goes straight into the starting lineup.
5 if Maignan leaves.
Then a good CB, SS/AM and RW
Finding 8 good players in one window will be impossible for this management concidering the time each negotiation takes.
Yes, 70 players will leave and Milan will sign 180 new players.
😂
80% of anything good that Milan currently does up front feels like it goes through Leao’s feet. Offload him, OK. And then?
If we keep Leao, the best way to improve is to find good midfielder to compliment the attack. Remember under Fonseca Pulisic and Reijnders was cooking. And solid back up for them. Honestly Leoa need serious competition Remember when that Norwegian kid Hauge was putting in goals Leoa played his best football. Paxiao would give that competition, I think going to Feyenoord for him would be a great deal.
That’s a good take, I’d love to see them bring Paixāo. He’s affordable as well.
That’s smart, tomori, hernandez, walker out, but Alex Jimenez safe, no questions asked.
Literally one of the poorest wingbacks I’ve ever seen
