Gerard Deulofeu hints at possible AC Milan return

By Oliver Fisher -

Gerard Deulofeu has hinted at a possible AC Milan return as his future remains up in the air.

The Everton winger is currently at the U21 European Championships, and he addressed the rumours surrounding his next club to the press.

“I’ve changed a lot, as a person and as a player. I am more mature, more patient, I know what to do at all times,” he said.

“That I have to leave my country and have experiences in different changing rooms and with players from whom I learn helps me.

“In the future I want to conquer the world and continue to climb. I am very happy for my time at Milan where I was happy. That’s what I was looking for.”

According to reports thus far, Barcelona look to be poised to buy back their youth product from Everton this summer.

The player’s will is to be considered, as he will not be happy returning to the substitutes bench after having enjoyed stints of consistent playing time in Milan.

For the Catalan club, Deulofeu could be an important player, but unlikely a regular. Regardless of what the future holds, a decision will be delayed until the Under 21 Euros finish.
