CorSport: Giroud maintains Milan scoring form but awaits Origi challenge

By Euan Burns -

Olivier Giroud picked up where he left off when he started the match against Bologna on Saturday night but is ready for the challenge from Divock Origi, a report suggests.

As has been said in an article from Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the French forward showed that his form has not been affected by the injury that kept him out of the starting lineup for the first two games of the new Serie A season.

As he pointed out in an interview after the game, this was the first time he had played a full match since the friendly against Marseille four weeks ago.

The goal was very well taken by the Frenchman who latched onto a delicate pass from Rafael Leao and volleyed past Lukasz Skorupski.

The next battle for Giroud is to fend off Origi when he is up to full fitness as he will want to start in the same position.

  1. Their is no reason why the two cannot rotate as their will be a lot of games coming up in a short space of time, also Rebic

  2. I love Olivier Giroud, this man is amazing ,and never lacks belief ..His hold up play is brilliant, inside the 18 yard area he is simply the best ,and his technical ability is an art ,but of course as so many games are coming up ,rotation must come into play for the whole team .
