MN: Good news arrives regarding Origi and Messias but Giroud trains alone again

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing their work at Milanello ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Udinese at San Siro, and updates on the condition of some players have arrived.

According to the latest from MilanNews, there is some double good news for Stefano Pioli with regards to the forward department as both Divock Origi and Junior Messias did the entire training session with the rest of the squad, meaning they are each in contention to play.

Olivier Giroud did another individual training session with no comment about his presence for the game against the Friulians, while Sandro Tonali continued with therapies after the tests he underwent on Monday which ruled out muscle injuries. He will be evaluated day by day.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – who returned to Milan the day before yesterday – also continued with physiotherapy to help recover after the knee surgery he underwent 11 weeks ago, but obviously his return is not foreseen before 2023.
