Italy starlet vague when asked about future amid Milan links: “We will see”

By Isak Möller -

Milan are not just looking for an experienced striker on the market, such as Olivier Giroud, but also a more long-term solution. Several players have been mentioned lately, including Sassuolo man Giacomo Raspadori.

Raspadori scored six goals and assisted an additional three for Sassuolo this past season, attracting the interest of several big clubs. One of his better performance actually was against Milan, as he scored a brace at San Siro.

It’s not exactly a surprise, therefore, that the Rossoneri are one of the teams interested especially since they are looking for strikers. Asked about his future, as cited by Calciomercato.com, Raspadori was very vague with his answer.

“The mercato? These are things that I don’t consider important. I’m living this dream [Euros with Italy] to the fullest. I try to make my contribution, we will see what will come later, I’m happy to do what I’m doing,” he stated.

It remains to be seen if Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will make a serious attempt for the 21-year-old, given that Sassuolo most likely will ask for a lot. The alleged price tag is around the €30m mark, which might be too much.
