Jacobone: Lazio star skips pre-season tests after talks with Milan – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a playmaker on the market and have been linked with several players in recent weeks. Brahim Diaz won’t be the only signing for that role and work is thus underway for a second arrival.

One of the players that could replace Hakan Calhanoglu is Luis Alberto. The Spaniard is very similar to the Turk and would be able to slot right into the team. While it’s a very difficult operation, talks have taken place.

As confirmed to us by Alessandro Jacobone, Milan have talked about Luis Alberto with his agent on two separate occasions. The most recent one was when they solved the renewal of Davide Calabria, who will sign a four-year deal.

The agent explained that the playmaker is willing to try his luck elsewhere and has even requested to leave Lazio. He skipped the pre-season medical tests today and it’s a situation to clarify for the Biancocelesti.

The president of Lazio, Claudio Lotito, is notorious for being extremely hard to negotiate with and thus the operation is very tough. The valuation is likely to be high and perhaps the only way to lower it could be a technical counterpart (Alessio Romagnoli?).

  1. Pls Maldini buy sabitzer and you can let go romagnoli or swap him with Alberto of lazio and get a very cheap defender in Seria b in italy

    1. Milan doesn’t need players like this and Milan has denied any chance to buy Luis, the reason is simple there is no money, if there are 50 million Milan will spend it on young players and not on old worn-out keys like Luis
