Earlier this week, Milan announced the signing of Brahim Diaz on a dry loan, despite reports suggesting that there would be a buy-out clause included. Therefore, he should return to Real Madrid next summer.
In an interview with MilanNews.it, AS journalist Sergio Gomez was asked about the situation and the future of Diaz. Although the latter is expected to return to Spain once the loan expires, a solution could be found to extend his stay.
“He will definitely return to Real Madrid at the end of June 2021. Clearly his future will depend on his performances, whether he will be part of Real Madrid or will go out on loan again at Milan or another team,” he stated.
The former Man City man played his first minutes for the Rossoneri last night, subbed on in the 70th minute against Serie B side. He didn’t have many chances on the ball but looked promising the few times we got to see him.
He could become an important player for Milan this season, considering his ability to play in several positions. The Rossoneri do have a lot of attacking depth already, but it could come in handy during the season.
