Journalist claims Milan are ‘still interested’ in Salzburg star and Arsenal target Szoboszlai

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still interested in signing Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai, according to Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported last week that Szoboszlai is almost certain to move on from Salzburg in the January transfer window, and that another attempt to sign him by Milan cannot be excluded after two previous negotiations.

Hungarian outlet Index then claimed that that Szoboszlai’s agent Esterházy – who owns EM Sports Consulting Kft – was at a Forbes event in Hungary this week and discussed interest in his client, confirming Arsenal and Milan are both in the running.

Now, Daniele Longo has offered a brief but interesting update on his Twitter profile. The journalist simply tweeted to say that the Rossoneri are still interested in a move for the 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who continues to be linked with Arsenal by a number of different outlets.

It comes after Calciomercato.com reported that Paolo Maldini still has the desire to bring him to Milan, with contacts ongoing with his agency and with Red Bull Salzburg.
