Journalist labels Fiorentina star as a ‘great Milanista’ and urges Milan to sign him

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic is closing in on a contract renewal, Milan have seemingly decided not to bring in a striker this transfer window. Instead, they will focus on reinforcing the right-wing position.

In recent weeks, the Rossoneri have been heavily linked with Federico Chiesa, as Stefano Pioli reportedly wants to reunite with the winger. Just a few days ago, MilanNews branded the Fiorentina star as Milan’s ‘dream signing’ this summer.

Pioli currently has Alexis Saeleameekers and Samu Castillejo at his disposal for the right-wing position. Although the two haven’t been terrible by any means, they don’t get on the scoresheet too often, which is one thing that Chiesa is good at.

In his latest piece for Calciomercato.com, journalist Carlo Pellegatti urged the Rossoneri to sign either Chiesa or Federico Bernanrdeschi, branding the former as a ‘great Milanista’ who would add ‘liveliness, class and unpredictability’ to Pioli’s attack.

That being said, his price tag is most likely very high and it remains to be seen if Milan will proceed with their interest.
