Leao show and Tonali milestone: All the key stats from Milan’s draw against Udinese

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan drew yet another game as Udinese cancelled out Rafael Leao’s opener in yesterday’s clash between the sides. A result, however, that Inter didn’t take advantage of as they also drew their game.

The Salernitana draw was a wake-up call in itself but after last night, the reality of the situation has sunk in even more. Milan are only first in the standings thanks to their competitors also dropping points, but that won’t last forever.

In addition, this would’ve been an opportunity for the Rossoneri to climb the standings even more point-wise and make life even more difficult for Inter. Down below are the stats from the Udinese clash, via the official website

➤ With the two 1-1 draws, AC Milan and Udinese have drawn both of their matches in a Serie A season for the first time since 2010/11 (4-4 & 0-0).

➤ Rafael Leão has become the second player to score in each of the seven days of a week in Serie A with AC Milan, after Andriy Shevchenko.

➤ Rafael Leão has also scored the most goals at home in Serie A in the calendar year of 2022: four.

➤ Sandro Tonali is the youngest midfielder that has scored more than one goal (2) and delivered more than one assist (2) in Serie A this season.

➤ Brahim Díaz has now played 50 Serie A games, while Sandro Tonali has now played 50 games as a starter with the Rossoneri in all competitions.

➤ Before Stefano Pioli , the last AC Milan coach to go unbeaten in his first five Serie A matches against Udinese was Alberto Zaccheroni, between 1998 and 2000.

  1. Stats that are meaningless. What matters is that Milan’s play is not at all attractive. We supporters want excitement and not that boring stuff.
