MN: Training resumes at Milanello – the latest on Kjaer, Maignan and De Ketelaere

Training resumed at Milanello this afternoon in view of Saturday evening’s game at San Siro against Monza, with updates arriving on three players.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Simon Kjaer returned to training with the rest of the squad today meaning that he has now fully recovered from the injury that he sustained on 1 October against Empoli.

He will be a vital resource for the defensive department given that Stefano Pioli has had to shift Pierre Kalulu to right-back given the injuries in that area, while Fikayo Tomori is suspended for the game against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League and Malick Thiaw is not in the UEFA squad list.

The report adds that Mike Maignan and Charles De Ketelaere both did individual work but for all three the hopes of being available for Saturday’s match against Monza remain alive, so tomorrow and Friday’s sessions will be decisive.

  1. Facing Monza, this is perfect chance to show Old Milan bosses the new Kaka. Hope CDK finds the net and starts his Milan adventure.
