La Stampa: Juventus and Torino set for Locatelli battle

Juventus and Torino are set to do battle for AC Milan starlet Manuel Locatelli, according to reports on Monday.

According to Turin-based paper La Stampa, a Derby della Mole has erupted for the signature of Locatelli, who is valued at around €10million.

The report claims that Juve were confident of closing a deal for the 19-year-old, who of course scored a sensational goal last year when Milan beat the Bianconeri 1-0 at San Siro.

Now, Torino have entered the fold as former Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic is a keen admirer of the player. The Granata chave the potential to offer more playing time to Locatelli, with Juve’s midfield already packed.

La Stampa claims Locatelli would be worth €10m and a San Siro departure is a real possibility due to the Rossoneri’s recent acquisition of Lazio regista Lucas Biglia. However, the departures of Juraj Kucka, Andrea Poli and Andrea Bertolacci could rule out a summer exit.
