Lawyer Antonello Martinez has revealed that he has a copy of a document which proves Louis Vuitton owner Bernard Arnault wants to buy AC Milan.
Over the past few months it has been reported that Arnault – who has a net worth of $102bn (as per Wikipedia) – is interested in buying the Rossoneri from current owners Elliott Management.
Denials came from the Louis Vuitton group, but yet more rumours then emerged claiming Arnault is still interested in the idea of buying Milan, and then unsurprisingly even more denials arrived.
La Repubblica then stated earlier in the month that Arnault is in talks over the idea of a Milan takeover, and that he wishes to bring Pep Guardiola in as head coach and sign Lionel Messi, with Jurgen Klopp and Kylian Mbappe the alternatives.
The rumours then went quiet, however now Martinez has once again stirred the pot by claiming that the negotiation is in fact real, dating back to last month.
“I possess an authentic copy of a document for the due diligence requested by Louis Vuitton for purchasing Milan, it dates to November. Secrecy and denials are due but all insiders know that the negotiation is real,” he told Telelombardia.
