Mike Maignan may have had some rough moments during the 2024-25, but he also saved AC Milan quite a few points. As compiled by the club, there are some very good stops to take a closer look at.
It was a rather strange season for the goalkeeper, all things considered. After a strong, or at the very least solid, start to the campaign, he then suffered from a few mistakes in and around February. This is also what prompted Milan to pause the renewal, as per reports.

Excluding the weeks that were a little tougher, though, it’s clear to everyone that Maignan played a very important role for Milan. He made several crucial stops, some of which were outrageous, and the Rossoneri picked out five of them on their social media.

Again, there were some howlers in there this past season and it’s something the goalkeeper must work on, as well as the near-post troubles. That being said, he ended up in the top three based on the average of all player ratings we handed out for the season.
The big question is whether he will still be at the club for the 2025-26 campaign, but as the Chelsea move fell through, the feeling is that he could remain. And perhaps the renewal can even be sorted out, who knows…

Ok now show the 63 goals he conceded, vast majority of them being from the same angle that he’s been conceding goals from in the past 3 seasons, he’s too slow dropping to his left side, and he’s either never even bothered to work on it to fix it OR he’s tried and he’s completely unable to fix his shortcomings, either way I wont be losing any sleep seeing him leave the club lol

Would love him to stay. It would actually benefit him for the next World Cup to stay and not be overworked by European commitments before that tournament.
But we don’t want to risk losing him for no $.
