AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will not bench Suso for Thursday night’s game against SPAL despite claims otherwise, a report states.
The Rossoneri will be hoping to avoid a fright on Halloween night when they host Serie A’s second-bottom side looking to obtain their fourth win of the season.
Some outlets were suggesting Pioli could make as many as six changes to his starting XI – including a brand new midfield trio – after a disappointing showing in Roma last time out.
La Gazzetta dello Sport (via @MilanEye) then reported earlier on Thursday that Pioli will make four changes to the team that lost in the capital, including benching Suso for Samu Castillejo.
However, according to a report on MilanNews.it – who cite SportMediaset – Pioli will still select Suso as the right winger in his starting XI despite a poor start to the season.
The Spaniard has amassed just one assist in nine games so far this term, leading to fans protesting about his spot in the line-up.
Concreta la possibilità #Duarte a Destra. Davanti dovrebbe partire #Piatek con #Suso e #Calha. A cc ancora #Paquetà questa volta con #Bennacer e #Kessie. #MilanSpal
