Mediaset: Four players could leave Milan in January – the three possible replacements

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a number of objectives for the January transfer window aside from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to one journalist.

Journalist Claudio Raimondi, has once again offered an update on Milan’s mercato plans for SportMediaset on Italia Uno (via MilanNews.it), stating that the big dream is Ibrahimovic but that a number of options are on the table.

CALABRIA: Sevilla and Fiorentina are both chasing Rossoneri full-back Davide Calabria, who has in recent weeks become the back-up to Andrea Conti.

If an offer of €15million were to arrive, Milan would enter the negotiating table, acknowledging that his sale would represent a pure capital gain on the balance sheet.

RODRIGUEZ: The Swiss international has also lost his starting position on the left to summer signing Theo Hernandez. Schalke 04 are very interested in bringing him back to the Bundesliga.

BORINI: Crystal Palace have set their sights on Fabio Borini, who has so far struggled for game time this season and is as a result open to finding a new club.

KESSIE: The Ivorian returned to being a starter against Parma due to Lucas Paqueta’s injury after spending two games out of the team. The former Cesena and Atalanta midfielder could stay at Milan, unless an offer for €30m arrives.

POSSIBLE REPLACEMENTS: in addition to Ibrahimovic, the Rossoneri are also chasing PSG defender Layvin Kurzawa – assuming that Rodriguez leaves.

If Calabria were to go, then Genoa defender Paolo Ghiglione is an option to replace him, and a loan swap involving Krzysztof Piatek is possible.

With Duarte out until the new year, Milan are going to evaluate the return of Mattia Caldara before deciding whether an assault on Merih Demiral is needed.
