Mediaset: Milan want to snatch €32m EL winner from Chelsea after missing out on Barcelona man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen as Jean-Clair Todibo heads towards Germany, a report claims.

A number of outlets have reported that Todibo is the Rossoneri’s first choice centre-back target, but the latest reports have suggested that Maldini and Boban are growing ‘impatient’ with both Barcelona and the player.

Meanwhile, German outlet Bild are claiming that Todibo is in fact ‘one step away’ from joining David Wagner’s Schalke, meaning that other targets will have to be sought out by Milan.

According to SportMediaset – as cited by MilanLive.it – Andreas Christensen is a possible alternative for the Milan hierarchy to study. The Danish international will turn 24 in April and has not been used much by Franck Lampard this season.

Christensen is valued at €32m by Transfermarkt which could be a snip given his age, while Sky Italia linked Milan with a move for the former Monchengladbach loanee on Tuesday night.

The outlet adds that the green light could also be given for Mattia Caldara’s exit, with return on loan to Atalanta is possible. Then, Christensen’s Danish team-mate Simon Kjaer could cut short his loan at Atalanta and join the Diavolo to unite with his compatriot.
