Mediaset: Pioli to recover one forward for Sampdoria game but duo will likely miss out

By Oliver Fisher -

After almost two weeks off due to the international break, Milan will get back in action on Saturday lunchtime as they face Sampdoria.

According to what SportMediaset are reporting (via MilanNews), Ante Rebic has fully recovered and will therefore be available to start the game at San Siro, which kicks off at 12:30pm CET and could see Milan move three points behind Inter, temporarily at least.

For the match against Claudio Ranieri’s side, both Rafael Leao and Mario Mandzukic look set to miss out because the Portuguese and Croatian forwards have not yet completely overcome their respective muscular problems.

From that, we can infer with some certainty that the front four will feature Rebic on the left wing with Alexis Saelemaekers on the right side, Hakan Calhanoglu as the playmaker and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the centre-forward. Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie are also back and could start once again, as per reports.
