According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Sport, the new Milan ownership will look to guarantee the futures of key squad members. This includes the renewals of Donnarumma, Suso, and Montella, while Deulofeu and Pasalic have indicated they want to stay at the club.
Mateo Musacchio is the main name for the defence, with recent reports suggesting a deal is close to completion for the Villarreal man.
Mateo Kovacic is an idea for the midfield, but there are also murmurs that Montella has requested Daniele De Rossi, but he could renew with Roma or simply refuse to play for another club.
Arturo Vidal is also linked, as Massimo Mirabelli has scouted the midfielder multiple times in Germany. Luiz Gustavo is another possible Bundesliga target, and Milan recently encountered the player’s entourage. Cesc Fabregas is also widely linked, but discussions will have to wait until the end of the season.
Milan are reportedly considering a list of huge names to bolster their attack options. Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are targets, along with Benzema’s teammate Alvaro Morata, but securing European football is crucial for those deals.
In addition, Mirabelli has also considered Lacazette, but Atletico Madrid are in pole position to land him. Genoa’s enquiry about Lapadula lead to a counteroffer involving a trade for Giovanni Simeone, but his €25million halted any pursuit.
