‘Milan, cheer us up’, ‘Ibra sees red’ – Italian papers ahead of crucial Man Utd clash

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Man Utd in the second leg of the Europa League round of 16 this evening, following the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. With a few key players back for both sides, it will be very interesting.

The Rossoneri have had several ups and downs this year and after the win against Hellas Verona and the draw at Man Utd, they seemed to be back. However, Napoli clinched the three points at San Siro on Sunday by the odd goal.

Milan’s poor form at home continued, in other words, and tonight’s clash certainly won’t be easier. Having said that, they still have a decent chance. Gazzetta Dello Sport wrote “Milan, cheer us up” on their front page and “Italian football needs a big Thursday”.

Tuttosport added “Milan, Ibra sees red”, referring to the Swede’s return just in time for the game against his old side. Corriere Dello Sport wrote “Pioli bets on Ibra”. Take a look at the front pages below.
