Milan’s De Ketelaere on his playing style: “I prefer to have the ball between my feet”

By Euan Burns -

New AC Milan signing Charles De Ketelaere has given Rossoneri fans a hint of what they can expect from him during the new campaign.

Speaking during his first interview with Milan TV on Wednesday (via Milan News), the Belgian midfielder was asked about his playing characteristics and what sort of style he can bring to Milan.

The former Club Brugge man explained that he is a forward-facing player who is always looking to make things happen and link up with his fellow attackers.

“On the pitch I am a very offensive player. I like to start and finish the action by moving accordingly. I tend to get down and receive the ball, look for the last pass and score as an attacker,” De Ketelaere explained.

He was keen to add though that he does work hard when his team do not have the ball, given this is a key characteristic of how Stefano Pioli likes his players to go about their business.

“I also work hard in the non-possession phase but I prefer to have the ball between my feet,” he said.

He certainly should rack up a decent number of goals during his first season with Milan as he got 18 last year for Club Brugge. He will be able to link up with better players such as Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud.

Accoring to his statement, I think his role will fit to be an ACM right winger. Just like Leao : Very offensive, look for pass & score, got many times to dribble.

But will CDK have the speed like Leao ?
