Milan Doctor: “Bonaventura will be out for 2-3 weeks”

By Claudio Perfetto -

Milan team doctor Melegati spoke to Milan TV to give injury updates regarding Giacomo “Jack” Bonaventura and Andrea Conti.

On Bonaventura: “Jack suffered a muscular strain in the last match against Genoa. After waiting 48 hours we have done some exams this morning that confirmed a mild injury, which we consider a grade one injury.

“Fortunately, it’s not in a dangerous area and just below the knee. However, we must act with caution and deal with it the best way we can. We will do further exams in ten days, generally recovery for this type of injury is 2-3 weeks. We are optimistic and hope to have him fully fit in three weeks.”

On Conti: “He is recovering very well, he is on schedule, maybe even a little bit ahead. He is very light and fast athlete, therefore, we are expecting a positive response from him during the initial phase of rehab.

“What he posted on social media should not make people think that he is ready. We still have a long way to go, He will have to face different stages during his rehabilitation and undergo many tests and exams.”
