Milan eager to improve at home as difference compared to away games is staggering

Milan are enjoying a good season as they are still in the Scudetto race, currently six points behind Inter with ten games to go. However, to even have a chance at the title, they desperately need to improve at home.

As highlighted by Opta (via SempreMilan) ahead of the game against Sampdoria tomorrow, the Rossoneri have done so much better away from home this season, which could be due to the lack of fans.

In fact, Milan are the team with the largest negative difference when comparing points picked up at home (22) and away (37) in the top five leagues: -15. Although it’s tough to close the gap now, they can at least try to end with some home wins.

The game against Sampdoria becomes even more important, therefore, as it would send a signal to the rest of the league standings-wise but also in the mentioned regard. Hopefully, they will be at their best tomorrow.
