Milan’s probable XI to face Nice tonight – Two changes with debut in sight

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Nice in their third friendly clash of the pre-season this evening, playing away from home for the first time. Compared to the games against Pro Sesto and Modena, this will most likely be tougher.

The Rossoneri won the first two games comfortably and it will be good for them to face some stronger opponents as well. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how the team will hold up against Nice tonight, with one key absence to take into consideration.

Ismael Bennacer hasn’t been called up to the game after testing positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, he hasn’t been in contact with his teammates since the Modena clash and all the other players have tested negative.

In addition to replacing Bennacer, whose spot should be given to Tommaso Pobega, Stefano Pioli is also expected to switch goalkeepers. Mike Maignan is ready for his debut and it seems he will play from start. Down below is the probable XI.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Gabbia (Calabria), Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Pobega, Tonali; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Krunic; Leao.
