MN: Calhanoglu and Theo back in training ahead of Napoli clash – five players still out

By Isak Möller -

Following the 1-1 draw against Man Utd last night, in which Milan struggled with several injuries on key players, there is some good news for Stefano Pioli. Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez are back in training, a report claims.

According to MilanNews, the duo trained with the rest of the squad at Milanello this afternoon and are heading towards recovery. In other words, they could take part in the Rossoneri’s game against Napoli on Sunday evening.

It would be a big boost for Pioli, although five players are still training individually, as the report continues. These are Ismael Bennacer, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Mandzukic, Ante Rebic and Alessio Romagnoli. Not exactly ideal for the manager, in other words.

However, the backup starters really stepped up against Man Utd and perhaps deserved more than just one point. The away goal could be crucial, though, as Milan now find themselves in a good position ahead of the return.
