MN: Calhanoglu has grossly trivialised his Inter move but Milan aren’t bitter

By Isak Möller -

Hakan Calhanoglu will be announced by Inter very soon, having reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri. It’s yet another player that Milan will lose for free, but financially speaking it might be for the best.

The No.10 never responded to the renewal offer of €4m per year and instead started negotiating with Inter. Certainly, as highlighted by MilanNews, the way he has acted not just now but earlier in his career is far from elegant.

For example, he didn’t even notify the Milan management about the Inter negotiations, despite the fact that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were waiting for a call. “Thanks for everything”, Calhanoglu put on his Instagram with a compilation video.

It seems that this didn’t mean much at all for Calhanoglu, or at least he has acted like this thus far. He has grossly trivialised what it means to move from Milan to Inter, and he will surely get a lesson from the former’s fans on this.

Maldini and Massara, for what it’s worth, are not pulling their hair over losing the playmaker and are already looking for a replacement. Perhaps this is the right mentality, considering that Calhanoglu has shown his true colours.

    1. Your disappointment is highly regarded and will be notified so we can consider your feelings in the future!

Hakan is a snake who found his home.

  1. There are still people saying they should have offered him more. Obviously not good to lose anyone for free, but better compared to having someone like that in the team? I told 3 years ago he is bad, maybe we get a proper player there now, someone who can pull on his own when necessary.

  2. Another person who kissed his badge … another average player destined for the bench warming and orange cutting activities. Inter are debt ridden so add some pressure to the ratios. We can do better without him.
