MN: Cardinale the first Milan owner to win first games vs. Inter and Juve

By Isak Möller -

Gerry Cardinale officially took over AC Milan at the start of September and work has already begun to build on the recent success. It’s safe to say that the American businessman has got off to a good start.

Cardinale, the CEO of RedBird Capital, has made it clear that the project Elliott Management started will be built on. Investments will be made to make even more revenue, which is the main difference compared to Elliott.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Cardinale has already set a record among the many Milan owners in the club’s history. In fact, he’s the first owner to beat Inter and Juventus in his first two games against them.

To put the stat into perspective, MilanNews also compiled all of the results of the previous owners. To make matters easy, we have added the results of Elliott, Yonghong Li and Silvio Berlusconi below. In short, Cardinale is already off to a good start and he won’t stop there.

Gerry Cardinale:
Milan-Inter 3-2
Milan-Juventus 2-0

Elliott Management:
Inter-Milan 1-0
Milan-Juventus 0-2

Yonghong Li:
Inter-Milan 2-2
Milan-Juventus 0-2

Silvio Berlusconi:
