Ismael Bennacer is a key player for AC Milan, having picked himself up after a tough start to the season. Therefore, it doesn’t exactly come as a surprise that several teams are monitoring his situation.
Yesterday evening, MilanNews.it confirmed the rumours of a €50m release clause in the Algerian’s contract, with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain showing interest. More details have now been revealed, as published by MilanNews.it this morning.
Should a club decide to trigger the release clause, then the payment would have to be made in a single instalment. Due to the Coronavirus, few teams can afford a €50m deal, let alone spend it all at once and not divided over several years.
Pep Guardiola likes Bennacer but for the time being, there are no ongoing negotiations and the same goes for Leonardo’s PSG. Milan intend to focus on the player and make him a key part of the youth revolution.
That being said, an offer of €50m would guarantee a big capital gain of over €35m for the Rossoneri. As mentioned, though, the negotiations are complicated due to the figures and above all the payment method.
