Four of AC Milan’s key first team members trained separately from the rest of the squad at Milanello on Thursday afternoon, a report claims.
There were four notable absentees from head coach Stefano Pioli’s 21-man squad to face SPAL in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday night.
It was revealed that Gianluigi Donnarumma has a thigh problem which saw his older brother Antonio get the nod in goal, making history while keeping a clean sheet, and Davide Calabria missed out with a right ankle sprain.
Centre-back Mateo Musacchio has a left ankle contusion which means Simon Kjaer got his first start, and Hakan Calhanoglu was forced to sit on the sidelines due to a calf issue.
According to the latest from MilanNews.it, Donnarumma, Calabria, Musacchio and Calhanoglu all did personalised work and did not train with their team-mates today.
On Friday, there will be a check of the condition of the quartet to understand if they will be available for Sunday’s match against Udinese at San Siro, which will kick off at 12:30.
