MN: Leao and Rebic edging closer to a return – trained on the pitch

By Isak Möller -

Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic will soon be back in action and that is a big boost for Milan and Stefano Pioli. Without them, the Rossoneri lack flair in attack and they will be needed in the second half.

According to MilanNews, the duo worked individually during today’s training session as well but they were out on the pitch, rather than in the gym. They are getting closer to a return and this is good for Pioli.

As said, Milan have struggled to replace them in the last few weeks as Rade Krunic doesn’t provide the same set of qualities on the left. Putting Alexis Saelemaekers on the flank turned out to be more successful, but having the duo back will be even better.

They have been responsible for a combined seven goals and five assists this season, which shows their importance. In addition to that, their unpredictability is absolutely ket for Milan’s attack.

    1. Market can be crazy sometimes. I remember Fekir Nabil almost joined Liverpool for €75m or €55m I don’t really remember and went to Betis for a fraction of that amount the next season. We wanted Everton back then but the price was much then Benfica signed him for just €20m. It’s a crazy market really.
