MN: Talks continue between Milan and Monaco over Pellegri – the rejected offer

By Isak Möller -

Pietro Pellegri has struggled to impress in his first six months with AC Milan, mainly because of injuries. Therefore, the striker is expected to leave on loan this month but there is an obstacle.

The Rossoneri brought him in on loan last summer and thus don’t have the right to send him out on loan to another club. As a result, negotiations are underway with Monaco to complete the transfer now rather than in the summer (there is an option/obligation).

It seemed that an agreement had been reached between the clubs, with a loan move to Torino lined up, but MilanNews are now reporting that it isn’t a done deal yet. Milan have offered €3.5m plus bonuses, which has been deemed not good enough.

Talks are continuing, therefore, and Torino are waiting for an update on the situation. There could be some developments in the next few days, the report concludes.
