MN: Milan’s priorities in January revealed as Ibrahimovic deputy is only third on list

By Isak Möller -

In January, Milan will have an opportunity to address some of the issues that they have experienced thus far this season. Among other things, they will try to bring in a centre-back to strengthen the defence depth.

As reported by Anto Vitiello of MilanNews.it, the Rossoneri’s priorities are quite clear. The centre-back remains the priority, closely followed by a reinforcement in midfield. In case of good opportunities, we also have the Zlatan Ibrahimovic deputy.

Mohamed Simakan is one of the players that could strengthen the defence, while Milan’s interest in Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare has been reignited. The Rossoneri’s strategy thus hasn’t changed drastically after Ibrahimovic’s injury.

Then again, as Vitiello continues, many operations are born and develop based on what the market offers at that precise moment. Therefore, the management is active and the number of meetings (with agents and intermediaries) at Casa Milan is once again high.
