After many rumours, Milan have made their first signing on the transfer window, bringing in Soualiho Meite from Torino on loan with an option to buy. Given the injury crisis, it’s certainly a boost for the Rossoneri.
As reported by MilanNews this evening, the Frenchman completed the medical this morning and later the athletic tests at Milanello. The midfield should start working with the team tomorrow and will most likely be called up for the Cagliari game.
After taking on Torino mid-week, Milan will have a bit of extra rest as they won’t take on the Sardinian side until Monday. Especially considering that the Coppa Italia game went to penalties, it’s one more day of rest that could do them well.
Alexis Saelemaekers, however, is still in doubt for the game and his condition will be evaluated tomorrow. If he takes part in the group session, then he should be able to start on the bench, but we will have to wait and see.
