There is just over a week left until the long-awaited Derby Della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter. Both teams are fighting for the Scudetto and it should make for a great game, with a lot at stake.
As things stand, Stefano Pioli will be able to rely on a strong XI and that hasn’t always been the case this season. The only question mark is the defence, as Fikayo Tomori might not make it back in time (meaning Pierre Kalulu would start).
Other than that, though, it must be said that the manager has a lot of options. He will have to decide the partner for Sandro Tonali in midfielder (Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie) and there are also some decisions to be made in the attacking trio.
Up front, as highlighted by MilanNews, Pioli could consider playing Ante Rebic from the first minute. It will depend on the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Croatian would offer more pressing in the defensive phase and also more runs in behind the defence.
If Pioli wants a more mobile striker for his tactics, then Rebic is the man for the job.

It might be better to start Rebic. I think Leão has the X-Factor to come on from the bench for this one, especially with a tiring Inter defence.
Leao-Zlatan-Rebic as the trident and then anyone but Krunic as the #10 behind them.
Rebic as AM and bench Diaz.
totally agree, start Ibra (hungry for a goal at San Siro),sub Giroud later, Leao LW, Saele. RW and Rebic 10, way stronger than Diaz, he turns on the spot and plays great with back to goal, enough with the headers,(unless corner kick), we need direct shots on goal where we can clean up on any rebounds. We need to step on their necks early, rather than dick around for last minute heroics, from guys off the bench.
Maignan;
Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Hernandez;
Tonali, Bennacer,
Rebic, Kessie, Leao;
Ibrahimovic.
I love Franck BUT his loyalty is elsewhere. Guys on the bench that are loyal to Milan getting stiffed over him not happy, Rebic at the 10 Saele. (who by the way loves Milan) at RW. Yes Kessie is better than Saele. But “heart” is a huge motivator. Look back when Saele. came into Spezia game, the whole offensinve dynamics shifted.
Rebic over Ibra and Giroud any day
Maignan
Calabria kalulu ramagnoli theo
Tonnali kessie
Rebic Diaz leao
Giroud
Rebic makes Diaz better, if this means he won’t be completely useless then I’d do it
was a fan of Diaz, but opposition have studied him and he is now too predictable ,not strong enough to shrug the defense’s confrontations.
Give leao another shot at playing centre forward play rebic and the left wing…we saw him chip the keeper after his run in behind playing against spezia.
Don’t forget that overhead kick vs. Atletico
